Commission for the Milka and Metod Badjura Award

On 5 April 2023, the Slovenian Film Centre, a public agency of the Republic of Slovenia (hereinafter: the SFC), invited producers’ guilds and other guilds in the field of film and audiovisual arts to submit nominations for the five-member commission responsible for selecting the recipient of the Milka and Metod Badjura Lifetime Achievement Award for Filmmakers. The deadline for submitting nominations was 21 April 2023.

Pursuant to Article 31(1) of the Rules of the Festival of Slovenian Film (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 30/17) and Article 2 of the Rules of Procedure of the Commission for the Milka and Metod Badjura Lifetime Achievement Award for Filmmakers, Nataša Bučar, Director of the Slovenian Film Centre, a public agency of the Republic of Slovenia, appointed the following members to the Commission:

• Lija Pogačnik, nominated by the Association of Slovenian Film Producers;
• Špela Čadež, nominated by the Slovene Animated Film Association;
• Sonja Prosenc, nominated by the Directors Guild of Slovenia;
• Andrej Košak, nominated by the Director of the Slovenian Film Centre, a public agency of the Republic of Slovenia;
• Milena Zupančič, nominated from among previous award recipients by the Director of the Slovenian Film Centre, a public agency of the Republic of Slovenia.

The Commission’s term of office is two years and may not be renewed.
