Board of the Agency
The Board of the Agency has eight members, who are appointed and dismissed by the Government. The Government appoints four members to the Board on the proposal of the ministry responsible for culture: one member is proposed by the Rectors’ Conference of the Republic of Slovenia, one by RTV Slovenia, one by the public institution Viba Film Studio Ljubljana, and one is proposed by the Ministry from among experts in legal or financial sciences. The Government appoints two members on the proposal of professional associations representing authors in the field of film and audiovisual activities and two members on the proposal of independent producers’ associations. Members of the Board are appointed for a term of five years, commencing on the date of the inaugural session, and may be reappointed. The Chair of the Board is elected by the Board from among its members.
At its 197th regular session on 9 April 2026, the Government of the Republic of Slovenia appointed the following eight members to the Board of the Agency:
- Boštjan Potokar, representative of the Rectors’ Conference of the Republic of Slovenia;
- Bernarda Grum, representative of RTV Slovenia;
- Klavdija Tratnik, representative of Viba Film Studio Ljubljana;
- Sabina Dolinšek Popadić, representative of the Ministry selected from among experts in legal or financial sciences;
- Urša Menart, representative of professional associations representing authors in the field of film and audiovisual activities;
- Matevž Luzar, representative of professional associations representing authors in the field of film and audiovisual activities;
- Špela Čadež, representative of independent producers’ associations; and
- Jožko Rutar, representative of independent producers’ associations.
At their inaugural session on 26 May 2026, the members of the Board of the Slovenian Film Centre, a public agency of the Republic of Slovenia, elected Boštjan Potokar as Chair of the Board and Urša Menart as Deputy Chair.

At its 75th regular session on 13 May 2021, the Government of the Republic of Slovenia appointed six representatives of the founder to the Board of the Slovenian Film Centre, a public agency of the Republic of Slovenia, for a five-year term commencing on the date of the inaugural session, with the possibility of reappointment. Janez Pirc was appointed as the representative of RTV Slovenia; Peter Kep as the representative of Viba Film Studio; Borut Bajželj as the representative from the field of legal or financial sciences; Sebastijan Cavazza and Simon Tanšek as representatives of professional associations representing authors in the field of film and audiovisual activities; and Blaž Rant as the representative of independent producers’ associations.
The Ministry of Culture will repeat the call for nominations for representatives of the Republic of Slovenia on the Board of the Slovenian Film Centre, a public agency of the Republic of Slovenia, namely a representative of the Rectors’ Conference of the Republic of Slovenia and a second representative of independent producers’ associations.
At their inaugural session on 18 May 2021, the members of the Board of the Slovenian Film Centre, a public agency of the Republic of Slovenia, elected Peter Kep as Chair of the Board and Janez Pirc as Deputy Chair.
With effect from 8 October 2021 and until the expiry of the Board’s term, with the possibility of reappointment, the Government of the Republic of Slovenia appointed Špela Levičnik Oblak to the Board of the Slovenian Film Centre, a public agency of the Republic of Slovenia, as the second representative of independent producers’ associations, and Kolja Saksida as the representative of the Rectors’ Conference of the Republic of Slovenia.
