The manifestation was organised in close partnership between the Slovenian Film Centre and the Film Centre of Montenegro. The purpose of it was the promotion of the contemporary Montenegrin film in Slovenia.
The two film centres had close collaborations on various film projects by Slovenian or Montenegrin filmmakers, and will keep having them in future. Also, they are both partners in several programmes, platforms and initiatives, such as ReActing as a Star, EFAD and, most recently, Re-Act.
Four Montenegrin films or Montenegrin majority co-productions were showcased: Nikola Vukčević’s Tower of Strength (2024), Senad Šahmanović’s Vud, You Won (2025), Srđan Vuletić’s Otter (2025) and Vladimir Perović’s This Good Land (2024). Two masterclasses were given as well. The Dean of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Montenegro, Edin Jašarević, gave one that was titled Cultural Trends in the Algorithm of Surveillance Capitalism, while the filmmaker Nikola Vukčević gave one titled Principles of Storytelling: Hero’s Journey and Other Approaches. All the screenings and masterclasses were held at the ARGFT.
